Terms and Conditions
1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the vBuy marketplace platform (“Platform”) operated by vBuy Ltd (“vBuy”, “we”, “us”, “our”), accessible at vbuy.io. By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
vBuy is a multi-vendor marketplace. Products listed on the Platform are sold by independent third-party merchants (“Sellers”), not by vBuy directly. vBuy acts as the marketplace operator, facilitating transactions between you (“Customer”, “you”) and Sellers.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.

2. Account Registration
To use the Platform you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete and current information during registration.
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Maintain only one account per person — duplicate accounts may be suspended.
- Keep your login credentials confidential and notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
- Accept that you are responsible for all activity under your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or are inactive for an extended period.
3. The v£ Reward System
3.1 What Are v£ Rewards?
v£ (pronounced “v-pounds”) are digital reward credits issued on the vBuy platform. They function as vouchers — not as currency, cryptocurrency, or legal tender. v£ have no cash value outside the Platform.
3.2 Earning v£
- You earn v£ rewards automatically on every eligible purchase.
- The reward percentage is set by the individual Seller for each product (minimum 8%).
- v£ rewards are calculated on the GBP-paid portion of your order only. If you use v£ to partially pay for an order, rewards are earned only on the remaining GBP amount.
- Rewards are earned on both product prices and shipping costs.
3.3 Using v£ at Checkout
- At checkout, v£1 = £1. This exchange rate is fixed and will not change.
- You may apply any amount of your available v£ balance to reduce the GBP total of your order.
- v£ discounts are applied proportionally across all items and Sellers in your cart.
3.4 The 30-Day Pending Period
- All v£ earned from a purchase are subject to a mandatory 30-day pending period before they become available to spend.
- This period is required by applicable consumer protection regulations and cannot be overridden.
- During the pending period, v£ are visible in your wallet but cannot be used.
- If an order is refunded during the pending period, the associated v£ rewards are automatically reversed.
3.5 Restrictions
- v£ cannot be withdrawn as cash, transferred to another user, or exchanged outside the Platform.
- v£ can only be spent on future purchases on vBuy at the fixed rate of v£1 = £1.
- v£ balances are non-transferable and have no expiry date, unless your account is terminated for breach of these Terms.
- vBuy reserves the right to adjust v£ balances to correct errors or reverse fraudulent transactions.
3.6 Purchasing v£
You may purchase additional v£ at a rate of £1 = v£1 through approved channels (such as Vowchers voucher codes or directly at checkout). Purchased v£ are subject to the same usage rules as earned v£.
4. Purchasing Products
4.1 Multi-Vendor Marketplace
Products are listed and sold by independent Sellers. Your purchase contract is with the Seller, not with vBuy. vBuy facilitates payment processing, dispute resolution, and the v£ reward system.
4.2 Product Information
Sellers are responsible for the accuracy of their product listings, including descriptions, images, pricing, and stock availability. While vBuy reviews listings, we do not guarantee the accuracy of Seller-provided information.
4.3 Pricing & Availability
- All prices are shown in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable.
- Prices are set by Sellers and may change without notice prior to your order being placed.
- Products are subject to availability. If a product becomes unavailable after your order, the Seller or vBuy will notify you and process a full refund.
4.4 Multi-Vendor Cart
Your shopping cart may contain products from multiple Sellers. When you check out:
- A separate sub-order is created for each Seller.
- Each Seller fulfils and ships their products independently.
- Shipping costs are charged per Seller.
- v£ discounts are split proportionally across all Sellers based on their share of the order total.
4.5 Order Cancellation
- You may cancel a pending order at any time before the Seller marks it as processing.
- Orders left in “pending payment” status are automatically cancelled after 24 hours.
- On cancellation, any v£ rewards that were locked for the order are released back to your wallet.
5. Payments
- Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment providers, including Stripe.
- vBuy does not store your full payment card details — these are handled entirely by the payment provider in compliance with PCI DSS standards.
- All payments are made to vBuy, who then settles with Sellers. You are paying vBuy as the merchant of record.
- By placing an order you authorise vBuy to charge the payment method you provide for the full GBP amount (after any v£ discount).
6. Shipping & Delivery
- Shipping is the responsibility of the individual Seller.
- Estimated delivery times are provided by Sellers and are not guaranteed by vBuy.
- If you purchase from multiple Sellers, you will receive separate deliveries.
- Risk in the products passes to you upon delivery.
- If a delivery issue arises, please contact the Seller first through the Platform. If unresolved, you may raise a dispute (see Section 7).
7. Refunds, Returns & Disputes
7.1 Your Right to a Refund
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel most online purchases within 14 days of receiving your goods, for any reason.
7.2 Refund Process
- Submit a refund request through your account (“My Account → Orders → Request Refund”).
- The Seller reviews your request and may approve or reject it.
- If approved, vBuy processes the GBP refund to your original payment method.
- All v£ reward movements associated with the refunded item(s) are automatically reversed.
7.3 v£ Refund Option
When a refund is approved, you may choose to receive the GBP portion as v£ instead of a cash refund, plus a 5% bonus on the GBP amount. This option is voluntary.
7.4 Disputes
- If a Seller rejects your refund request, you may raise one dispute per rejection.
- Disputes are reviewed by the vBuy admin team, whose decision is final.
- vBuy will review disputes fairly, taking into account evidence from both parties.
7.5 Multi-Product Orders
Each item in a multi-product order may be refunded independently. Refunding one item does not affect the rest of your order.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, and software on the Platform (excluding Seller product listings) are the property of vBuy or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Create multiple accounts or impersonate another person.
- Attempt to manipulate the v£ reward system, including through fraudulent purchases or collusion with Sellers.
- Interfere with the Platform’s operation, security, or infrastructure.
- Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Platform without authorisation.
- Post reviews or content that is defamatory, abusive, or misleading.
10. Limitation of Liability
- vBuy acts as a marketplace operator. We are not the seller of the products and do not take title to or possession of any goods.
- vBuy is not liable for the quality, safety, legality, or fitness for purpose of products sold by Sellers.
- vBuy’s total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to vBuy in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
